Some of the best ideas come when the mind finally quiets down.
Bring your journal, your sketchbook, your watercolors, or your colored pencils. Come ready to create. The Creativity Sound Bath is a guided sound healing session designed to move you out of your head and into a state of open, effortless creative flow.
The science behind it:
Sound healing works by shifting your brainwave state. The sustained tones of crystal singing bowls guide the brain from the busy, analytical beta waves of everyday thinking into alpha and theta states. These are the same brain states associated with deep relaxation, daydreaming, intuition, and creative insight. Theta waves in particular are the frequency of the hypnagogic state, that twilight zone between waking and sleep where ideas seem to arrive fully formed. Artists, writers, and scientists throughout history, including Thomas Edison and Salvador Dalí, deliberately chased this state as a source of inspiration.
In the Creativity Sound Bath, you'll use that window.
The format is simple: settle in, let the sound do its work, and when inspiration moves through you, write it down, sketch it out, paint it. There's no agenda, no instruction, no performance. This is your time with your work, supported by sound.
What to bring:
— A journal, sketchbook, canvas, or whatever analog creative tool calls to you
— Pens, pencils, paints, markers, colored pencils
— An open mind and an unfinished idea (or no idea at all — those are welcome too)
Please leave your laptop and phone tucked away. This is a space for analog creativity. Pen and paper. Pencil and pad. Paints and canvas.
