Learning to Lead a Sound Bath + Community Instrument Exchange
For aspiring and practicing sound healers, this gathering is designed to help you grow your confidence, expand your skills, and connect with instruments and community.
Have singing bowls but aren’t sure how to use them in a group setting?
Already working one-on-one but lacking the confidence to lead a sound bath?
Have you offered one before but struggled to fill it? This workshop is for you.
Join seasoned sound healer, educator, and business owner Amy Hudson for a practical, honest, and experience-based workshop on leading a sound bath. Amy will share her personal formula for structuring a session, along with insight into how she markets and promotes her work so that participants not only learn how to lead, but also how to talk about what they offer in a way that connects with your audience.
In this 3-hour gathering, we’ll explore topics such as:
• how to structure a sound bath from beginning to end
• how to work with the instruments you already have
• how to build confidence leading a group
• how to create a welcoming experience for participants
• how to describe, promote, and fill your offerings
• common mistakes newer practitioners make and how to avoid them
Event Agenda
2:00 to 2:20pm | Welcome + Introductions
We’ll begin by meeting one another, getting a feel for the experience level in the room, and naming what each person hopes to walk away with.
2:20 to 3:20pm | Amy’s Formula for Leading a Sound Bath
Amy will share the framework she personally uses to structure a sound bath, offering a practical template you can work from, whether you are just getting started or refining what you already do.
3:20 to 4:00pm | Discussion + Real-World Application
This portion of the workshop is devoted to conversation, questions, and practical support. We may reflect on past experiences, talk through challenges, and explore how to apply the material to your own circumstances, including things like low attendance, confidence, clarity, or working with the instruments you already have.
4:00 to 5:00pm | Community Instrument Exchange
We’ll close with time to browse, buy, sell, donate, and connect through our community instrument exchange in the retail shop.
Why Amy is offering this workshop
Amy believes this work calls for collaboration more than competition. Healing does not grow through “power over” dynamics. It grows through relationships, shared wisdom, and community care. As the need for sound healing continues to grow, she knows one person cannot meet that need alone. She regularly receives requests she cannot fulfill, which is part of why she feels called to teach. This workshop is for those who feel ready to step into this role with humility, confidence, and a genuine desire to serve. The need is real, and our communities benefit when more people are equipped to offer this work well.
Following the workshop, attendees are invited to stay for a Community Instrument Exchange inside the retail shop at The Sound Healing Center of Lexington.
This exchange is a space for sound healers to buy, sell, donate, and discover instruments within the community. Whether you are looking for your first bowl, ready to rehome an instrument you no longer use, or hoping to expand your collection, this is an opportunity to connect with instruments in person and meet others who are on a similar path.
The intention is to create a gathering place where sound healers can learn, connect, and find the instruments that support their work.
Community Instrument Exchange: What to Bring
You are not required to purchase or bring instruments for this class. However, if you have sound healing instruments you’d like to bring to sell, donate, or share, you are welcome to do so.
Please bring only items related to sound healing or meditation, such as singing bowls, chimes, drums, rattles, tuning forks, gongs, mallets, or similar tools. We ask that all items be clean, functional, and in good condition.
If you plan to sell an item, please label it with your name and asking price. If you are donating an item, please mark it clearly as a donation. You are welcome to bring a small, manageable selection rather than a large volume of instruments.
Any sales made during the exchange are arranged directly between attendees, so bringing cash or a payment app is recommended. Please handle all instruments with care and ask before playing or examining someone else’s item. You are responsible for your own items throughout the event.
Even if you are not bringing anything, you are still welcome to browse, listen, learn, and connect.
Creativity Sound Bath
Some of the best ideas come when the mind finally quiets down.
Bring your journal, your sketchbook, your watercolors, or your colored pencils. Come ready to create. The Creativity Sound Bath is a guided sound healing session designed to move you out of your head and into a state of open, effortless creative flow.
The science behind it:
Sound healing works by shifting your brainwave state. The sustained tones of crystal singing bowls guide the brain from the busy, analytical beta waves of everyday thinking into alpha and theta states. These are the same brain states associated with deep relaxation, daydreaming, intuition, and creative insight. Theta waves in particular are the frequency of the hypnagogic state, that twilight zone between waking and sleep where ideas seem to arrive fully formed. Artists, writers, and scientists throughout history, including Thomas Edison and Salvador Dalí, deliberately chased this state as a source of inspiration.
In the Creativity Sound Bath, you'll use that window.
The format is simple: settle in, let the sound do its work, and when inspiration moves through you, write it down, sketch it out, paint it. There's no agenda, no instruction, no performance. This is your time with your work, supported by sound.
What to bring:
— A journal, sketchbook, canvas, or whatever analog creative tool calls to you
— Pens, pencils, paints, markers, colored pencils
— An open mind and an unfinished idea (or no idea at all — those are welcome too)
Please leave your laptop and phone tucked away. This is a space for analog creativity. Pen and paper. Pencil and pad. Paints and canvas.

Full Moon Sound Bath in Cascade Cave
Full Moon Sound Bath in Cascade Cave
Cascade Cave at Carter Caves State Resort Park
Saturday, September 26, 2026 | 6:30–8:00 PM
Join us for an evening sound bath inside the Dance Hall of Cascade Cave, one of Kentucky’s most distinctive natural environments. Held after regular tour hours, this experience invites you to slow down and listen in a setting shaped by limestone, time, and stillness.
This sound bath will be facilitated by Amy Hudson, founder of The Sound Healing Center of Lexington and a Reiki Master. Amy creates grounded, intentional sound experiences that emphasize listening over performance and allow the environment itself to become part of the experience.
Crystal singing bowls and resonant instruments will be played while you rest on your mat or chair, surrounded by the cave’s stone walls. The acoustics of Cascade Cave allow sound to travel, echo, and settle in ways that cannot be replicated above ground.
This is not a performance. It is a shared experience of listening, held by sound and by place.

Registration is handled directly by Carter Caves State Resort Park.

What to Expect & What to Bring
This experience takes place in an active cave environment. Please read the information below so you can arrive prepared and comfortable.
Seating & Comfort
Participants may lie down or sit upright. Bring your own mat or reclining chair, along with blankets, cushions, or pillows. Because the cave floor is stone, you may want something thicker than a standard yoga mat for added insulation and comfort. Many guests may choose to bring a cushion and blanket to sit on.
Temperature
The cave remains cool year-round, typically around 50–55°F when the door is closed. Dress warmly and plan to bring layers and a blanket to stay comfortable throughout the hour-long session.
Ground Conditions
The cave floor is small crushed limestone (gravel) and may be damp in areas, with occasional puddling. We recommend bringing a small tarp or ground cover to place beneath your mat or chair to protect from moisture.
Access & Walking Distance
The walk from the parking area to the cave is approximately 100–150 feet along a gravel path. Items with wheels should work on the path. There is one small step at the entrance to the cave.
Duration
The sound bath lasts approximately one hour. You will remain mostly in one position, so please bring whatever supports you need to be comfortable.
Additional Notes
This event is open to the general public and appropriate for all ages.
Space is limited, and advance reservations are required.
Please arrive early to allow time for parking, unloading, and settling in.

Summer Solstice Sound Bath + Ritual
The Summer Solstice is a seasonal high point, a moment of fullness, brightness, and expansion that marks the longest day of the year. It invites us to pause and take stock of what is growing, what is coming into bloom, and what wants our attention as we move deeper into the season. This gathering is designed to honor that threshold through shared intention, creative expression, and sound.
We begin with a guided seasonal ritual led by Lynna Nguyen of Creatures of Whim, offering space to reflect on what feels most alive in your life right now and what you want to tend in the months ahead.
The evening concludes with a crystal singing bowl sound bath led by Amy Hudson, offering a restful listening experience to help the body soften and the mind quiet as you settle into the energy of the season.
This offering is open to anyone seeking a grounded, creative, and accessible way to honor the Summer Solstice.
Gong Immersion with Adam Sutherland & Ryan McNaughton
This is a powerful sonic experience. Although there will be gentle moments, and intentional gradual variations in intensity, this session is meant to facilitate deep transformation. Gongs have the tendency to help reveal repressed energy and emotions. If you have found any previous sound bath experiences to be too intense, you may not appreciate the yang/masculine approach of this event.
Although prior experience is recommended, beginners may be comfortable with this experience. Please approach this session with sincere willingness to process any emotions and feelings that may surface, and complete self-agency.
