Sound Healing 101: A Starting Point
Saturday, October 3 • 2:00–5:00pm • $123
If you've ever left a sound bath wondering how someone learns to do this, this class is for you.
Sound Healing 101 is a hands-on introduction for anyone curious about the foundations of sound healing and curious about what it might look like to lead a sound bath of their own someday. We'll spend the first half of our time together on the basics: what sound actually does in the body, how chakras relate to sound, and what it means to set sacred space before anyone walks through the door. From there, we'll move into practice. You'll learn Amy’s formula for leading a full sound bath from open to close, and you'll get real time playing crystal singing bowls, including a turn in a group circle where everyone gets to lead.
This is not a certification and it's not everything you'll ever need to know. Think of it as exactly what the name says, a starting point. Some of you may leave and simply carry a deeper appreciation for what you experience the next time you attend a sound bath. Others may leave with the first steps toward leading one yourself. Both are welcome here.
What we'll cover:
The basics of sound as energy and vibration, and why it affects the body the way it does
How chakras relate to sound and what they can tell you about a client's needs
Setting sacred space and clearing your instruments
Hands-on practice playing crystal singing bowls
A step-by-step formula for leading a full sound bath, start to finish
Common mistakes newer practitioners make and how to avoid them
A simple approach to getting your own offerings off the ground, including pricing and how to build an audience
What to know before you come:
No instruments needed. I'll provide crystal singing bowls for everyone to practice with throughout our time together. Bring a water bottle, a journal, and a pen. We'll be seated on the floor and have blankets, mats, and blocks on hand if you'd like something more comfortable.
This class is capped at 9 students so everyone gets real hands-on time and my direct attention throughout the day.
If you feel called to explore what it means to hold this work for others, I'd love to have you in the room.
