Handmade WaterFall Disk from Moldova
The Rain Drum is one of the most asked-about instruments used in sound baths at The Sound Healing Center of Lexington. Its long, flowing tones are often described as sounding like rainfall or ocean waves.
Introduced into sessions in June 2023, it quickly became the instrument people asked about most:
“What was that sound that felt like rain? Or maybe the ocean?”
After extensive research, the original artisan was located in Moldova. Each Rain Drum, also known as a WaterFall Disk, is handmade at the Nazar Drums Workshop by founder Misha. Designed as a fusion of ocean drums and rainsticks, it produces a continuous water-like sound that can last up to 60 seconds with a single turn.
Each instrument is crafted from wood and finished with a hand-burned design, making every drum completely unique.
