Long before Friday the 13th was called unlucky, it was a day held sacred to the Goddess. It carried the moon, intuition, and the rites of women who trusted their own truth. On this Friday the 13th, we come together to reclaim that meaning and to create.
Join Amy Hudson of The Sound Healing Center of Lexington and Lynna Nguyen of Creatures of Whim for Goddess Day, a circle rooted in the ancient tradition of women gathering to share wisdom and celebrate the feminine. This evening will include a sound bath, along with ceremony and community, as we honor the Goddess in all her forms.
Throughout the evening, we will move through the many faces of the Divine Feminine. The fierce clearer who carries sacred rage and confronts what no longer serves us. The compassionate mother who holds our grief with tenderness. The one who teaches us to soften and receive. The keeper of ancient intuition and feminine wisdom. The guardian of the threshold who meets us in our shadow and our voice. The one alive in sensuality, pleasure, and creative fire. The wild and autonomous one, reclaiming what was suppressed. The devoted one, embodied in sacred love. And the one rising into her own sovereignty and spiritual mastery.
Each of these faces holds something we have been taught to separate: a Light Feminine, the parts of us the world has always found acceptable to show, and a Dark Feminine, the parts labeled dangerous, difficult, or too much, and taught to stay hidden to keep us safe. On this night, we honor both. We give voice and space to the shadow as fully as we celebrate the light, because becoming whole asks for all of her.
This circle is for women. If you feel called to create something new this Friday the 13th, to honor every part of the feminine you carry, we would love to hold this space with you.
